Danilo Diaz Granados is a well-known Venezuelan entrepreneur and investment advisor. Based in the Miami area, he runs two start-up businesses as well as advising clients at Boston-based Fireman Capital Partners on business environmental factors. A leader of the Venezuelan financial community, Diaz Granados is a long-time South Florida resident. He is also a graduate of Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, a college specializing in entrepreneurship.
One of his ventures is a one-of-a-kind male-oriented boutique located in the trendy Wynwood section of Miami. A showroom purveying a hipper type of luxury, Toys for Boys brings unique sports cars and motorcycles, high-end watches, and other male status pieces, all curated under one roof. In addition to the Toys for Boys boutique, Diaz Granados is the founder of Edge of Glory films, a video content provider specializing in the Latino market.
In his role at Fireman Capital, Diaz Granados worked with Miami-based clients to help assess investments in a wide array of industries and sectors, from fine arts to energy. In addition to his work as an investment advisor, he is an executive for Movilway, a Madrid-based startup working to develop the mobile payment processing market in Central and South America.
Danilo Diaz Granado’s Movilway is based on a unique concept that allows cashless transactions without a bank account, debit card, or credit card, relying instead on cash deposits which can then be debited using a mobile phone. This technology is targeting communities and markets in which many do not have access to banking services.
