So I’m back. Sort of. Still spending far less time on the computer, and not sure exactly how much or if I want to keep up with blogging, as the break was really nice. We’ll see.
What’s up right now:
1. My anxiety is not a medication side effect. I had another panic attack after being off metformin for over a week. *sigh* I’m not going on anxiety medication though–just reserving it for emergencies and otherwise doing the best I can.
2. However, I’m staying off metformin anyway. In my mind, it doesn’t seem natural or necessary to take medication when I’m healthy just sticking with my strict diet and exercise. If this means I never lose the last 7-8lb of baby weight or fit back into my size 8′s, so be it.
3. Watching Gilmore Girls makes me crave Pop Tarts.
4. I’m pretty set on getting an IUD to prevent future pregnancies, but… I’m not getting it just yet. Meaning right now we aren’t 100% ready to say we are permanently done having kids. (But we don’t have to make a final decision for another year or two.)
5. We’re putting our house up for sale in the spring. Heaven help us.
6. Boston is on the back burner for now. Really, EVERYWHERE ELSE is on the back burner for now. Money is the big question mark–housing costs (SO much higher in Boston, and we’re praying to just break even when selling our current house, so no extra money), job obstacles (George would have to pay hundreds of dollars to take the bar AGAIN to be licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, and then pretty much start his practice all over again), child care (right now we pay ZERO thanks to my mom!), etc. And especially if we do consider a third child, Ohio might have to remain home for all the above reasons. Either way, we’ll be ok, and we’ll do the best we can for our kids no matter where we are.
7. Oliver is doing really well in preschool. He was one of a few kids in his class who got a special sticker on their report Tuesday for being the Best Behaved Kids. The teachers tell me every time I pick him up that he is sweet and polite. He is also learning like crazy already, and he loves it. We couldn’t be more thrilled!
8. I really, really need a vacation. I’m already counting down to next June!
9. Only 7 weeks until Andrew’s first birthday. *cry*
10. That possible third kid I mentioned? I kinda, sorta, maybe a little, or maybe a whole lot… want that to happen someday.
That’s where things are at right now. But it’s fall, the season of change, and I feel right at home.

I hope you don’t quit blogging! I love reading your blog, even if they’re just quick “catch up” posts sporadically like this one. I love hearing about your adorable little boys <3

I sometimes wish I could give up the computer. But I stare at it for 7 hours every day so it’s like an extra limb now.
Hoping things continue to go well for you. I too enjoy your catchup posts.

I love reading your blog, your posts are so full of emotion and eloquent writing. Though I understand how nice it is to let it go sometimes!
Hang in there….my anxiety has been up in the last two weeks, not sure why..possibly the kids going back to school and the added chaos.
Wherever you go, whatever you do, you guys will be fine. You have each other and while that doesn’t pay the bills or buy you a house….it means that you are rich. With your little boys, you are very rich!

Whoa, that didn’t come out right! This is why I never comment…
I hope you find your way back to Twitter, soon. I was just thinking yesterday that I miss your Tweets and happy smiling avatar!
OK, does that sound less stalkerish? *hugs*

Ugh, I’m soooo sorry you’re still dealing with that anxiety. I’m glad you have something to take just in case though!!! As far as things taking a backburner, I totally understand. We had hopes to move to Colorado right after I was done with school, but it might be long after that. Other thoughts and other plans are on our minds. Money is one thing. Maybe children (!) is another. We want to stay close to family when we start our own little family…Which may be sooner than later.

I have to say, reading that list? NO WONDER you’re having anxiety attacks!! Moving, selling your house, contemplating a third kid, Oliver starting preschool… lots going on for you, Mama. Hang in there.
