These are the kind of conversations we have when we go to bed after midnight. (Which is way too often.)
George, just after turning off the light: “Oh, wait, I have to go get something.”
Me, clinging to him for dear life: “Nooooo… if you lift up the covers, I will freeze. Just use the power of your mind to bring it to YOU.”
George: “But there are two doors in between.”
Me: “Use the power of your MIIIIIND to open them.”
George: “The power of my mind does not have opposable thumbs.”
Me: “Well, maybe YOURS doesn’t. I could use the power of MY mind to bring it in here, if I knew what it was.”
George, laughing: “Use the power of your MIIIIIND to figure it out!”
And then I froze him with my icy feet (mua ha ha).
Sometimes I wonder how two people who grew up in such different places could end up sharing the same kind of nonsense.

You guys are too funny. And I think silly nonsense must be universal. Which is a good thing!
